Energy Hub
Local Energy Center in Solna
In Energy Hub project our main focus is on local waste management system specifically food waste. We have proposed a local center called Energy Hub which is the local energy production center and waste management basement for the neighborhood.

We allocate five centers for Solna neighborhood. Based on the capacity of energy hub it will serve a cluster of residential blocks. Therefore we define a network of clusters that all are connected to nearest energy hub.We have proposed the location of these hubs based on the analysis of large food stores, schools and restaurants' locations. They are the main sources of food waste which is the main fuel in energy hubs (bio fuel). It could be the architectural icon for each neighborhood which makes it more noticeable.

Allotments around the energy hub are the meeting place for people from neighborhood and the place
which every one can participate in the process of making organic food and it is encouraging sustainable lifestyle.

Meanwhile we have defined a green pedestrian pavement in the most crowded axis in the neighborhood to produce energy from pedestrians’ movements and to highlight the energy consumption importance in social context.

As one of the main features of energy hub it is not only the technical center for energy production but also it has a social value and it brings social awareness around the issue of food waste and energy consumption.
